Engin Sönmez who explained that the DHI method has been applied for a long time said that “This method is especially used in patients who do not want to cut their hair. DHI Choi (implanter pen) procedure is performed by transmitting of the grafts into the needle. However, it is a more expensive method than the FUE method because of the need for a wider team and the difference of equipment such as CHOI.”

Hair transplantation coordinator Engin Sönmez said that “Although the history of hair transplantation goes back years, new methods have been developed as a result of R&D studies. The FUT method, which was the first method, was a painful and scarring method. The method that developed later is the FUE procedure. Finally the last developed procedure is DHI Hair Transplantation method.”

How to Perform DHI Hair Transplantation?

Hair transplantation coordinator Engin Sönmez stated that “First of all, various tests are performed for patients who apply for hair transplantation, the quality of the hair to be transplant is determined. During these tests, very important factors in hair transplantation are investigated such as the hair density of the patient, the quality of keratin of the hair, strength of roots of hair. Based on the results, the number of roots to be taken from the scalp and the anterior hairline are determined. Hair loss regions are examined in two groups locally and generally. If the baldness covers the entire top of the head, 4000 to 7000 hair follicles are removed from the donor area (the area between the neck and the two ears).”

Removal of Roots is Very Important

So that the roots to be healthy, they must be stored under reliable conditions until they are transported to the area of baldness. This means that they should not be kept under intense light and should be kept at appropriate temperatures. This procedure should not be done in an ordinary clinic. Although there is a procedure without scalpel, the possibility of getting infection should be considered.

Hair transplantation coordinator Engin Sönmez stated that no scalpel is used in the DHI hair transplantation method and added that “operation is painlessly performed without holes in the scalp. The procedure is carried out without any pain in the scalp. In other methods, parts are removed from the scalp as strips. No extra protection required during and after DHI Hair Transplantation and quick results are obtained. FUT method requires using both antibiotic and analgesic before and after the procedure. Longer examination times were required in the methods used before DHI. The hair follicle was left in the outside for a long time, causing damage. By means of the DHI hair transplantation method, the individual extracted roots are immediately transferred to the relevant region so that both time savings and hair quality are provided.

What the hair transplantation coordinator Engin Sönmez said about the advantages of DHI hair transplantation procedure are those “Global world brings fast life. People want to get quick results in every field. DHI Hair Transplantation step in here. In the methods used in the past, the development and growth phase of the hair developed later. With this method, the hair follicles that ready to grow is transplanted to the new area. During hair transplantation, not only hair follicles, but also lipid glands and hairs that are necessary for hair growth, are also removed from the scalp. During DHI hair transplantation, these procedures develop very quickly. First of all, this procedure should not be done cheaply. Considering the market conditions and social factors, there are vulnerabilities in health-related issues. Hair transplantation prices in Europe range from 2500 € to 5000 € on average. Of course, prices are more appropriate in our country. But the prices below these numbers may cause you to be disappointed. Scalp is one of the closest areas to the brain and needs to be carefully taken care of. Therefore, it should not be done by people who aren’t expert in the work.”
